Rick August 17, 2016 at 4:31 am If you are using CHIRP, you should be able to export and import the csv easily. Jon S August 16, 2016 at 11:43 am so if the cloning wont work, is the next best option to export the 5R setup to a csv to then import into a new image for the 5RV2 Reply. When i try to upload I get this error message The upload was stopped because the firmware version of the image (BFS311 BFB297 ) does not match that of the radio (N5R2407BFB297 ). Is there á way i cán fix this ór get aróund it Is thére an issué with the 5RV2 or is it the information coming from the standard 5R Any help for this relatively ignorant newb would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all. Reply. ![]() Fran Carey Márch 28, 2015 at 7:12 am I am getting the Unsupported Firmware Version message on Chirp as well. Mine says thé vérsion is N5R3403 F8HP-1 Did I get an old firmware version or am I doing something wrong Model Number is BF-F8HP Thank You Reply David March 12, 2015 at 10:01 pm First off, the CHIRP folks are amazing, the product is great and I truly appreciate their time and dedication and now I appreciate their vigilance even MORE. Read on. OK yall. GOT IT WORKING WhooHooo. After posting my last comment about NOT being able to write back to my UV-5RTP with CHIRP 0.4.1, I did find a way to get around the issue. CHIRP 0.4.1 will read the UV-5RTP very well as a UV-5R and you can make all the changes you need to in the resulting capture and save them to a file. Im usually véry leery of béta firmwareprogrammers, but lm within warrantyreturn timéframe so I figuréd why not Thé CHIRP dailybuild (03-12-15) will NOT read the UV-5RTP as a UV-5R. When trying tó read the radió the only óptions I havé in the radió drop down thát are close tó my radio aré UV-5R or UV-6, but not UV-5RTP. When choosing thé UV-5R (like I did in the latest stable version and it worked then) I get an error: incorrect model selected.
